THE POWER OF MONEY

After witnessing of what is happening in our community, it reminds me of a great story my father-in-law used to tell. It was about a very poor man that lived in a rundown small shack. And the only thing he had to his name was a pig. Well, one morning while feeding the pig, he noticed that the pig had unearthed a huge amount of gold. He became extremely wealthy. so he built a beautiful large home for himself and at the same time, he built a special place for the pig and hired someone to take care of the pig. After a few years, the pig died. Knowing that it was the pig that made him wealthy, he made the decision to give it a proper church funeral. He sent the caretaker to get the priest to come and perform the service but he was not told that the funeral was for a pig. When he found out the service was for a pig, he refused to perform the service. At that time the man handed the priest a handful of money. Realizing how badly he could use the money, he decided to have the funeral. While the priest was having the service, someone was passing by and witnessed what was taking place. He went to the bishop and told the bishop what he saw. The bishop went to the priest and told him he would be extremely punished for what he had done. The priest explained to the bishop how he was enticed with all the money. the bishop decided that it was the man with the pig that created the problem. The bishop went to the man but, before he had a chance to say anything, he was told how different this pig was. This pig was educated, was able to read and write and that before it died, it left a will and that his, the bishop's, name was mentioned in the will. At that point the bishop said "GOD BLESS HER!", you mean she also remembered me?!!!
